Having experimented with a hybrid model before the COVID-19 pandemic, we transitioned to a fully remote, work-from-home setup in February 2023 - and it’s had a lasting positive impact on how we work.

By reducing commuting, our team has gained valuable time and energy, supporting a healthier work-life balance. Working from home has also empowered everyone to create environments that make them feel most comfortable and focused. 🏡

In November 2022, we developed the branding for the RCN Scotland Nurse of the Year Awards, an inspiring event recognising the incredible work of nurses across Scotland.

It was a proud moment to see the identity come to life on such a meaningful stage, celebrating the dedication, compassion and outstanding care shown by all the finalists.

Since 2022, we have been volunteering with the Water of Leith Conservation Trust.

We’ve really enjoyed getting involved in their community litter-picking sessions around Coalie Park and The Shore to help keep the local area clean and thriving. Spending time outdoors together has also strengthened our connection to the environment and each other as a team. 🧤

In 2021, Firefly took part in our first volunteering session with Borders Forest Trust.

🪏 We loved learning from their knowledgeable team about Southern Scotland's native woodland habitats and discovering the best ways to restore and protect them. Getting hands-on in the forests gave us a deeper appreciation for the environment and reinforced the value of teamwork, both in nature and in the studio

From 2020 to 2021, Firefly adapted to the challenges of the pandemic by introducing a socially distanced office setup and transitioning to remote working during lockdowns.

Like many businesses, we had to rethink how we collaborated, communicated, and maintained creativity while apart. Embracing new digital tools and flexible ways of working allowed us to continue supporting our clients while staying connected as a team.

The experience strengthened our resilience, adaptability, and appreciation for the importance of community, whether in the studio or working from home.
