EquiLend Holdings, a securities lending platform based in New York, disclosed a data breach to employees, revealing that their information was compromised in a January ransomware attack.

The attack forced EquiLend to shut down some systems on January 22.

Although LockBit ransomware claimed responsibility, EquiLend didn't confirm.

However, the company later confirmed the ransomware attack through a dedicated information page.

Personal data, including payroll and HR information, was stolen.
