Hello Techies,
Do you have any unloved tech sitting about collecting dust?
Old Laptops, Unused Tablets, smartphones etc...
With spring just around the corner, it's now the perfect time to declutter with a much needed Spring Clean!
Time to go through that "Junk Drawer" we all have,
you know the drawer we're on about.
The one full of random junk... 27 dead batteries, random charger cables (from your Nokia 3210 :-) ) and all your out-dated mobile phones.
What if we told you that there are people out there who could benefit from some of that "junk" you have laying about taking up valuable space.
We're currently looking for people happy to donate their old tech to help struggling families & businesses of Exeter affected by the pandemic.
Working from home / home-schooling has had a huge increase in demand over the past 12 months and its now more essential than ever to keep connected with friends and family.
We've noticed lot's of families have been struggling to provide home-schooling for their children over lockdown, this was due to a lack of resources.
Schools just don't have enough tech to cover all those in need.
We stepped in and helped the best we could by donating what working tech we had.
But as you can imagine, demand soon outweighed the supply and we ran out of devices to donate.
So we decided to make it our mission to help our local community, and are now asking for any of our fellow Techies who might have any old unused devices to donate them to us.
We will do the necessities to ensure that any data is securely wiped and test the machines ready for deployment to those who need them.
We just want to do something to help those who are struggling,
so if you are happy to donate any unloved:
Laptops,
Smartphones
Tablets
(with the chargers if possible) then we'll get to work.
All labour and parts will be donated by us free of charge, and we can arrange a free collection of any donations.
Anyone that knows us and our ethos, knows this is purely our attempt to help as it's clear that there's an issue that needs addressing.
If you could please share the love by sharing this post then we'd be most grateful.
From all of us here at HelloTechies,
Stay Safe & Thank You!
