At BNI Legend - Ipswich meeting yesterday we celebrated our 4th birthday with cake! I have just renewed for my 4th year of membership. In the stats I am top for attending the most meetings (I hate missing a meeting).

Joining this supportive group has totally transformed my business following redundancy - the members have helped Outflux grow far more than I ever expected.

We’re looking for local businesses to sponsor the very first Eye Love Colour Run & Family Fun Day on Saturday 8 August 2026 at Eye Community Centre.

This exciting community event will bring families together for a fun-filled day of colour, creativity and laughter, with a colour run, crafts, face painting, activities, food stalls and more.

This month marks 3 years of full-time self-employment after redundancy from Ipswich Borough Council, and what a three years it’s been.

Outflux Graphic Design has grown exponentially during that time, recently leading me to take on my first office space at the Eye Love Business Hub.

A huge part of that growth has come through networking, particularly being a member of BNI Legend. Consistent weekly networking has played a major role in building relationships, generating referrals, and keeping my business visible.

What makes BNI Legend different is the hybrid format. We meet in person twice a month in Ipswich, with online meetings on the other Thursday mornings. It genuinely feels like the best of both worlds. And starting at 9:45am instead of dawn makes networking far more civilised!

The chapter recently won a regional award for member retention, which says a lot about the group and the people in it.

I’ll be renewing my membership next month because it works.

We had ❤️ 2 minutes from last weeks Oscar winner Marcus Gilbert, ❤️ a 4 minute launchpad from new member Andy Watling, ❤️ Sharon won the Oscar so we have 2 minutes from her next week and we enjoyed an excellent ❤️ 10 minute presentation from Marcel Larose!
