The sector is facing another squeeze. Kingboard, the world’s largest laminate supplier, expects to fulfil only around 80% of orders this month, with constraints likely to continue into next quarter.

What’s driving the disruption?

The PPE Resin Crunch: the Jubail facility in Saudi Arabia remains offline following an April strike, wiping out 70% of the world’s high-purity PPE resin supply - a critical material for high-frequency/automotive PCBs (like Rogers 4350B).
Oil Volatility: geopolitical tensions continue to impact crude-dependent glass fibre and epoxy resins.

This may affect UK PCB laminate supplies to some extent, although we currently hold good stock levels. We are actively monitoring the situation and taking all possible steps to protect our customers from the impact of these market conditions.
