Great to have Graeme in our UK HQ this week all the way from Down Under.

Graeme has been leading our Australia and New Zealand office for just over five years. In that time, he's helped a huge number of organisations to make their digital spaces more inclusive including AusNet, Domestic Violence NSW, City of Bayswater and Monte Cecilia Housing Trust in the last year alone.

Good to see ya, mate 🐨

AGAR Assertion 10 is new for 2026, and parish and town councils had to complete it for the first time this year.

But what does it actually mean?

The new assertion focuses on website accessibility and whether councils are meeting accessibility requirements, including publishing key information in an accessible way.

For many councils, it raises questions around accessibility statements, PDFs, WCAG compliance, and ongoing accessibility management.

We’ve broken down what AGAR Assertion 10 is, why it matters, and what councils should consider: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0vHQcJ0

AGAR Assertion 10: what parish and town councils need to know about website accessibility, WCAG compliance, and accessible PDFs.

The Recite Me team has had a great day at the Document Accessibility in the Public Sector (DAPS) Conference hosted at Microsoft’s Paddington office.

The conversations throughout the day reflected the reality many public sector teams are navigating is they work to balance growing accessibility expectations with the practical challenges of improving documents, systems and processes at scale.

Really valuable to hear honest discussions, practical advice and shared experiences from across the accessibility community.

For any further questions, our expert team will be happy to help.

To help us mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Annie from Minster Law Solicitors shared how digital inclusion and discussions about accessibility are becoming part of everyday conversations across their organisation.

Minster Law recognised the importance of starting somewhere and that making progress is better than perfection.

Accessibility is not about perfection from day one. It is about creating more inclusive digital experiences step by step and building awareness into everyday decision-making.

Thank you to the team at Minster Law for supporting a more inclusive digital experience for everyone.

Today's the day! We're celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day šŸ•

The most important takeaway is not the pizza, but moving from awareness to action.

Because in 2026, when it comes to digital accessibility: you can't do nothing, you can't do everything.
But you need to take proportionate action and document your journey.

Accessibility is a journey and we're on it with London City Airport.

Accessibility isn’t about reaching perfection overnight. But you do need to understand where you are today, prioritise what matters and aim for continuous improvement.

Using the Recite Me Accessibility Checker, the team audited its digital estate, identified accessibility gaps and built a roadmap focused on the pages passengers rely on most.

You can’t do nothing.
You can’t do everything.
But you do need to take proportionate action and document your journey.

Because for passengers, accessible digital experiences can make the difference between seeing the world and staying home.
