Last night we hosted our last R-CADE FilmFest event; our horror movie games night. We began the night with a range of horror movie video games, and even added some additional setups in the cafe including our first ever VR corner! As the night went on we changed it up with some classic horror games that we definitely think should be made into movies (talking about Typing Of The Dead!)

This was also the first visit from our new pals . Final Girls Glasgow is a film club for female horror movie fans. They host monthly meetups, movie nights in Glasgow and pride themselves on being a welcoming and inclusive community for female, trans and non binary horror fans to share their love of the horror genre. We have a very rare job opening here at R-CADE for an experienced barista. You must have at least 1 year of experience in hospitality using an espresso coffee machine and up to date knowledge on food safety practices. You must also be over 18 and very outgoing. As many of you know we at R-CADE are always creating and hosting events, giving tours of our venue to every patron and offering games to play during your visit. Knowledge of our games list is helpful but it is much more important that you are confident talking to lots of people while making those delicious coffees.

Friday update: So far we are completely empty in the arcade from 12-5:50pm, we will then be closed to the public from 7pm for a full venue private party. This means that there will be no over 18's game session and no boardgame social this week.

We are now accepting private bookings from now until the end of December, so if you are looking for a fun unique venue for your next celebratikn, large gathering or staff Christmas party then get over to the R-CADE party page for full details.

Schools are back, that means we are pretty much empty every Thursday and Friday in the arcade, so if you are a weekend worker, or are part of the home school community then this is your best time to book in!

Young Scot card holders get 25% off their arcade pass on weekdays too, an epic deal!

Our cafe is also open from 12pm to 10pm every Thursday and Friday, and it's always pretty much empty for the first few hours, so if you work from home but want somewhere different to stare at your laptop from, then pop down, order a cuppa and keep us company.

This Saturday the 29th of August we will be hosting our horror movie game night - A collaboration with Girls Horror Film Club.

Join us for an evening of gore, horror and good times. We will be playing some of the best horror video games based on movies (or developed into movies at a later date) in our arcade.
Titles will include the Resident Evil collection, Silent Hill, Doom, Evil Dead and more! Our friends at Final Girls Horror Film Club will are also welcoming new and existing community members to come along to find out more about their fantastic horror club.
