YOUNG DESIGNER OF THE YEAR 2026🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Gobsmacked, mindblown & grateful beyond words.

This award means more to me than I can even begin to explain. I am so honoured

A huge thank you to all the judges for the award, and their kind words and advice last night!

Another massive thank you to the SDA organisers, and a MASSIVE well done to all the other winners and nominees! Especially in the Young Designer category, it was bloody STACKED with incredible people with tremendous talent. What a night, eh?

I’ve not fully calmed down yet after greeting on the stage at the wonderful words from Judge 🥹

Branding & Pouch design for Elicit

Elicit came to me last year as a gummy supplement brand with a clear vision for their first launch, a gummy for the day, and a gummy for the night. One to help you feel clear-headed, motivated and energised, and another to help you feel calm, confident and present in social settings.

After finalising the design, refining and sending samples to print, the product changed. This meant new branding, new name, new packaging for my client…

So here’s what almost was. And given the wonderful weather we’re having it felt fitting to mock this up against a clear blue sky!

These situations happen way more in the packaging space than you might think! Formulation hurdles, pivots and strategic changes are sometimes necessary,

But at least I get to share the dead work. RIP, GBNF🪦

My entire graphic design degree in 30 seconds

Why did this make me emotional🥹

I am so incredibly grateful for the journey I’ve been on, the business I’ve built, the grades I’ve achieved and the work I’ve produced (even when it felt like I was drowning or close to burning out)

Every single part was worth it.

I’ve been a little sad since finishing up. Excited for what’s next but also feeling like I’m in a weird limbo and unsure what to do with myself,

So naturally a wee walk down memory lane was due! Enjoy.

Last month I launched my own creative event 💛

Many of you might not know, however, that this entire process was actually my final university project (ever *sad face*)

As such, I had to produce an evaluation booklet, and any excuse to work on editorial, type and print? I’ll jump at it.

The event sold out in two days, and this booklet was created to document the whole thing from the initial ideation to the attendee feedback. I used this opportunity to create an honest evaluation of the event that could potentially be used to pitch for future funding and sponsorship.

Anyways, enjoy some spreads!

This is rather different from what I usually post but it’s a lovely summary of a great night!

📸Photos in the book were taken by the amazingly talented

Thanks again to all the speakers, experts and folks who made it happen

A small snippet of my talk at yesterday, a talk about being a woman in design.

And naturally, I rewrote my talk on the train to the event yesterday.

I realised the reason I got on social media in the first place was because I had a dream.

On my fist day of college I really thought I was gonna walk out, get a job at a leading agency, work my way up to creative director, make partner and evetually start my own. Super easy, right?

Then I found out that only 12–17% of creative directors are women. 20% of agency partners are women. And 0.1% of agency owners are women. I realised my dream was gonna be WAY harder and I felt like I had no real female role models (a problem I thankfully no longer have! Shoutout to all of you!)

This was back in 2022, and to top it off, every junior role I looked at wanted 1–2 years of experience I didn’t have.

So I did the only thing I could think of. I started this account.

I would come home every night from uni and practice what I’d learned that day, determined to get better, obsessed with improvement. I got to grow my business simultaneously as I learned, in the hopes of graduating WITH the experience I needed.

Overtime, that’s changed and my process looks completely different now that I’m not burning myself out for content. However, that determination and drive and obsession doesn’t go away.

I’ve never really talked a lot about my background, or why I work myself into the ground. But when I sat down to write this talk, I realised, the unique thing I can actually speak to is this.

Building something from nothing as a student in Scotland, where almost nobody was doing it the way I wanted to, until I found .thepinkpony and everything shifted.

I got to talk about the chip on my shoulder. Where it came from. How it grew. And why I’d never get rid of it because it’s the thing that allows me to do what I do.

Turns out that’s a more interesting talk anyway. And I’ll definitely be using this analogy again! So stay tuned, dudes.

Thank you to POV! I was honored to be up there with these other incredible women who are all such an inspiration! .delahooke

Clients can’t approve what they can’t see.

Building the full brand world before a single campaign asset gets made, using Firefly Boards to generate moldboards and align everyone to the vision before anything gets approved.

Comment Boards to give this a go using the incredible template by .thepinkpony , or grab it from the link in my bio🐴💕

Does charity branding have to be basic?

A question I asked myself when I decided to design a full brand campaign for a charity raising awareness about keystone species in the Amazon Rainforest…

That and “have you lost your mind, this is a LOT of work?”

This project has no official affiliation with WWF. It was conceived entirely by my wee brain as a conceptual sub-brand for , with the intention of bringing more attention to the unsung heroes of the Amazon. The Euglossini Orchid Bee sparked the whole idea, and the campaign was built around spotlighting a different keystone species every month.

Over 12 weeks, I designed the full visual identity, brand guidelines, a social media rollout, an interactive app prototype, printed promotional materials and OOH assets. WUFT, I know.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit the rainforest in person, and I wanted this to feel like that. Emotional, alive, worth protecting. For that reason, this project feels very close to my heart.

If only the design process was actually this quick, though… 12 weeks in 30 seconds. Ahhh algorithms, gotta love em.

Let me know what you think of the final outcome!

(Passion proj, no WWF affiliation, but if you’re seeing this, hiya 👋)

on the animations!🐝
