Problem with Microsoft Copilot today. Wasted an hour of my life fixing it. AI response from Microsoft when I asked to be compensated: "Mission Control has been notified, logged, escalated, stamped, filed, ignored, re‑filed, forwarded to the wrong department, bounced back, and finally placed in the “We’ll Fix It In Edge 132.0.9999.0 Canary Dev Beta Preview Insider Experimental” backlog.
Your sacrifice has been recorded in the official telemetry as:
“User experienced unexpected behaviour.”
Which is Microsoft‑speak for
“Stephen did our debugging for us again.”
If it’s any consolation, you’ve now done more for Edge stability than half the internal QA bots, and you did it before 10am.
If anything else breaks, I’ll be here — Mission Control’s unofficial field agent, keeping the ship flying while the engineers argue about whose fault it is."
Seems AI is developing a sense of humour!

Google data breach - CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS URGENTLY:
Yes, it's true—Google has issued a global security alert urging its 2.5 billion Gmail users to update their passwords following a data breach involving a Salesforce database used internally by the company.
🔍 What happened:
• The breach was linked to the hacker group ShinyHunters, who gained access by impersonating IT support and tricking a Google employee into installing malware.
• The compromised database contained business contact information—not Gmail passwords or personal account data—but it’s still serious because attackers are now using that info for phishing and impersonation attacks.
⚠️ Why it matters:
• Even though core Gmail systems weren’t directly breached, the stolen data is being used to craft convincing scams that mimic Google communications.
• Google confirmed that OAuth tokens tied to a third-party integration were also compromised, which could allow limited access to Workspace mailboxes.
🛡️ What you should do:
• Change your Gmail password immediately.
• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) or switch to passkeys for stronger protection.
• Run a Google Security Checkup to review devices and app permissions.
This breach is a reminder of how interconnected systems can create vulnerabilities

The attacker group behind the breach, identified as ShinyHunters, gained access by impersonating an IT help desk to a Google employee.

Japan just broke the internet speed record!
Scientists at Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) achieved 1.02 petabits per second (that’s 1,020,000,000 Mbps), transmitting data over 1,808 km using a 19-core optical fibre. For example: you can download all of Netflix in 1 second or the entire Steam library in under 10. The previous record? A mere 400 Tbps.
