This commission was dreamy to work on. Things don’t always go to plan and when I ran out of space for the boughs of the pine tree I had to add some more paper to the corner. The original can still be framed but the real purpose was to scan my original to sit alongside some words this family loves. Can’t wait to see it up on their wall!

Materials: Daler-Rowney watercolour paper Caran d'Ache neocolour II and luminance pencils and 呉竹 - Kuretake Official watercolours.

When I saw the prompt from and Magazine Maison Cosy I knew it needed to live on the pages of my sketchbook, adore these colours — reminds me of bare feet on terracotta tiles on the way to the beach 🏝️

Throwback to the dreamy day Charleston with Imogen Partridge, Watercolour Illustration — wasn’t sure about painting buildings, I love organic shapes from nature and man made sharp edges felt a bit alien, but this was great to test things out before my recent home commission 🏡

Entry 1/3 to the print call out with this forest scene I painted in January. I love green and all the the buds emerging right now has me excited for warmer and longer days 🌱

I turned forty at the start of the month, and honestly I don’t know where the first month of forty has gone! These flowers were drawn from a beautiful birthday bunch from my dear friend and made it onto a Mother’s Day card for my mum. I’ve been quiet on here but busy in the background, took a trip to Copenhagen and fell in love with the city and the culture and how effortlessly stylish and cool everything (and everyone) is, have had lots of little local illustration jobs going on alongside some larger design projects. More of this please ✨
