Sometimes you just have to press pause.....

Running a business can be all consuming and it’s very easy to get caught up in emails, deadlines, jobs and the next thing that needs doing. But family time is important too — and taking a proper break gives you the chance to switch off, recharge and make memories that have nothing to do with work.

This summer, we packed up the car and headed off on a driving adventure through France and Switzerland

Our journey (over 2500 miles) took us through Chartres, Tours, Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Annecy, Geneva, Grindelwald, Zurich, Strasbourg and Reims, before heading back home.

From beautiful towns and stunning mountain scenery to long drives, good food, plenty of laughs and simply spending time together, it was exactly the break we needed.

And yes… I did manage to resist checking in on work because we have a business that can continue when I am not there!

Coming back feeling refreshed has reminded me that sometimes the most productive thing you can do is step away from work, spend time with the people who matter and enjoy life outside of business.

Work will always be there but Family time and memories are priceless.
