Thank Goddess it’s Friday!

My friends, I thought we could have a little fun today and take a trip back to 1986 for some Friday night nostalgia.

Back when Friday night might have meant piling into the car, grabbing a pizza, turning the music up, and feeling like the whole weekend was waiting for you. No endless notifications. No streaming menus to scroll through for an hour. Just good music, questionable fashion choices, too much hairspray, and the very serious decision of what cassette was going in next. 😂

There is something about those memories that makes me smile.

We spend so much of adulthood being responsible, keeping schedules, handling problems, and taking care of everything that needs our attention. Sometimes we forget that the younger version of ourselves is still in there somewhere.

So this weekend, do something simply because it is fun.

Order the pizza. Play the old songs. Dance around the kitchen. Watch the movie you loved when you were younger. Stay up a little too late. Laugh until your face hurts. Wear something ridiculous. Take a drive with nowhere important to be.

Growing older does not mean we have to become old at heart.

There should always be a little space in our lives for silliness, nostalgia, curiosity, and the things that make us feel alive.

So here’s to Friday night, a little 1986 magick, and remembering that sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is forget about being so grown-up for a while.
