One statement from H.E. Jakaya Kikwete truly resonated with me:

“Education is not just a social programme. It is security architecture.”

That is a profound truth.

A continent that fails to equip its young people with knowledge, skills and opportunities does not simply face an education crisis—it risks slowing economic growth, increasing inequality and limiting the potential of an entire generation.

The good news is that Africa is not short of talent.

Our classrooms are filled with brilliant young minds.
Our teachers are passionate.
Our communities care deeply about their children’s future.

What has often been missing is equitable access to quality learning opportunities.

That is why I believe education is one of the greatest investments any nation can make.

It is an investment in innovation.
It is an investment in productivity.
It is an investment in peace.
It is an investment in economic transformation.

At Acoomat, this belief is what inspired the development of the Nhava SmartClass Kit.

Not simply to introduce technology into classrooms, but to remove barriers that have prevented millions of learners—especially those in underserved communities—from accessing the same quality of learning enjoyed elsewhere.

When a child in a remote rural school can explore science through interactive simulations, access digital learning resources without internet, and one day be supported by locally developed Artificial Intelligence, we are doing far more than introducing technology.

We are expanding possibilities.

We are building confidence.

We are nurturing innovators, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs and leaders who will shape Africa’s future.

Africa’s greatest resource has never been beneath the ground.

It has always been the potential within its people.

If we invest in that potential through quality, inclusive and accessible education, there is no limit to what this continent can achieve.

The future of Africa will not be determined by the resources we extract, but by the minds we educate.

And that future is worth building together.

🌍 Leaving no place and no learner behind.

The future of education isn’t something we wait for, it is something we build together.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting Professor Ephias Ruhode, whose insightful articles on Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation and technology adoption across Africa have become a valuable voice in shaping conversations around the continent’s digital future.

We had an engaging discussion around the vision behind the Nhava SmartClass Kit, our ongoing rural pilot programme, and the opportunities Artificial Intelligence presents in transforming teaching and learning, particularly in underserved communities.

One exciting area we explored was the possibility of embedding a locally hosted AI engine within the Nhava SmartClass ecosystem. Imagine a teacher in a rural school - without reliable internet access—being able to generate lesson plans, teaching notes, classroom activities, assessments and revision exercises using curriculum-aligned content available entirely offline.

That is the future we are working towards.

Such innovation has the potential to significantly improve teacher productivity, reduce preparation time, and enable educators to focus on what matters most—inspiring learners.

What makes this especially exciting is the possibility of developing solutions that are designed for Africa, by Africans, addressing the realities of our classrooms rather than relying solely on technologies built for entirely different environments.

Professor Ruhode’s expertise in Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation brings immense value to these conversations, and I look forward to exploring opportunities where academia and industry can work together to advance inclusive education technology across the continent.

As our Nhava SmartClass pilot continues to gather momentum, every conversation, every lesson learnt, and every partnership brings us one step closer to our vision.

A vision where geography no longer determines educational opportunity.

A vision where teachers are empowered with intelligent tools.

A vision where every learner, regardless of location, has access to world-class learning experiences.

The journey has begun, and the momentum is building.

The future of African education is not only digital—it is intelligent, inclusive, locally driven, and being built today.

Leaving no place and no learner behind.

Watch the smiles.
Listen to the excitement.
Feel the energy.

This is not just another classroom.

This is a rural classroom where there is no electricity and no internet—yet learners are experiencing interactive digital learning through the Nhava SmartClass Kit.

Moments like these remind us of one simple truth:

Children’s dreams are never limited. Sometimes, it’s the environment around them that is.

When we change the learning environment, we change what children believe is possible.

Nhava is more than technology.

It is about removing barriers.
Expanding horizons.
Unlocking potential.
Giving teachers the tools to inspire.
Giving learners the confidence to dream even bigger.

Today, these learners are not just watching a lesson—they are engaging, exploring, questioning and discovering.

This is what quality education looks like.

A child’s postcode should never determine the quality of education they receive.

A rural learner deserves the same opportunity to explore science, technology and innovation as any learner anywhere in the world.

With Nhava SmartClass, geography is no longer a barrier, and background no longer defines opportunity.

This is the Zimbabwe we believe in.

A Zimbabwe where every community has the power to build better classrooms.
A Zimbabwe where every child has an equal opportunity to succeed.
A Zimbabwe where we leave no place and no learner behind.

Because when we unlock the potential of one classroom, we begin transforming an entire nation.

Together, let’s build classrooms that give every child the wings to soar.

Today, we witnessed something beautiful.

In a rural classroom, a science lesson came alive.

Using the Nhava SmartClass Kit and PhET Interactive Simulations, learners were no longer just reading about scientific concepts in textbooks—they were exploring them, visualising them, questioning them, and understanding them in ways that spark curiosity and deepen learning.

This is the impact of equitable access to educational technology.

For too long, we have accepted that geography determines the quality of education a child receives. But what if it didn’t have to?

What if a learner in a rural school had the same opportunity to experience interactive, engaging, and practical science lessons as any learner anywhere else in the world?

Through our ongoing pilot programme, we are seeing firsthand the possibilities that are unlocked when teachers are empowered with the right tools. We are learning, refining, and strengthening both the technology and the implementation model to ensure that it truly works for our communities.

What excites us most is not the technology itself.

It is the confidence it builds in teachers.
The curiosity it ignites in learners.
The opportunities it creates for communities.
And the future it helps shape for our nation.

Digital classrooms should not be a privilege. They should be a standard.

One classroom at a time.
One school at a time.
One community at a time.

Together, we can bridge the digital divide and ensure that no learner is left behind.

Because when we invest in our children’s education, we invest in Zimbabwe’s future.

🇿🇼 Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo.
And together, we can build the classrooms our children deserve.

Reflecting on an insightful experience at the Kenya–UK Global Mission 2026.

It was a privilege to connect and engage with entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and members of the Kenyan diaspora. Beyond the networking opportunities, I walked away with valuable lessons and a renewed appreciation of the immense potential that exists across Africa.

It was fascinating to learn more about Kenya’s position as East Africa’s largest economy and the deliberate efforts being made to attract diaspora investment, support entrepreneurship, and empower young people as drivers of economic transformation. These are aspirations shared by many African nations, including Zimbabwe.

A significant highlight was witnessing the launch of the Kenya Global Business Alliance (KGBA) by His Excellency the Ambassador of Kenya to the United Kingdom. The initiative promises to serve as an important bridge connecting businesses, investors, and opportunities within Kenya and beyond.

As I interacted with delegates from diverse sectors, one thing became increasingly clear: Africa’s challenges are often shared, but so too are the opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and build sustainable solutions together.

For us at Acoomat Tech Solutions, the experience reinforced our belief that digital classrooms should not be a privilege, but a standard. The conversations held during the summit opened new perspectives on how inclusive education technologies such as Nhava can contribute to shaping the future of learning across the continent.

The future of Africa will be built through partnerships, innovation, and a collective commitment to empowering our people.
