Most businesses expect their IT support to fix problems when they happen. That's important, but it's only half the picture.

Monitoring helps spot when something isn't right. Maintenance is what helps stop many of those issues from happening in the first place.

Keeping systems updated, checking backups, reviewing user accounts and fixing vulnerabilities all reduce the chances of a small issue becoming a much bigger one.

A fake Windows update page has been discovered that closely mimics a genuine Microsoft support site. It offers what appears to be a normal update for Windows 11, complete with official-looking details and a download button.

Really, it installs malware designed to steal data. What makes this worrying is how realistic it is, even using legitimate tools to avoid detection.
