Just a note, we'll be having an extended bank holiday break next week - we'll be closed on Monday 31 August but also on Tuesday and Wednesday, 1-2 September. Back open as normal from Thursday 3 September. Have a good one (and stay dry!)

We're incredibly proud to launch our latest commissioned publication 'Margaret' today. This is the inspiring true story of a 15-year-old girl faced with a terminal diagnosis whose profound faith, courage and expectation on her deathbed has moved many readers since her story was first published in the late-1950s, thanks to her brother-in-law James Davidson Ross. This new version is the brainchild of Peter Vause, who has used the original in his voluntary chaplaincy work in a large hospital and found ‘Margaret’ to be a source of huge comfort and strength for people with a terminal diagnosis. The updated book also features original photographs contributed by Jon Ross, James’s son. Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Rainbows Children’s Hospice in memory of Margaret. The summer's in full swing now that we're in July and here's a lovely image for our brand new calendar page showing an old phone box delightfully decked out in flowers - as taken by talented photographer David Machin. ☺️

Happy June 1st all - and our new calendar page celebrates one of our most important staff members, part time office junior Cherry (many of you may have heard her greeting you from the back office with a woof when picking your printing up - especially if you jangle your car keys too loudly or have a particularly high-pitched voice ). Our latest commissioned publication is Miracles in Africa, by Cindy Stanley. Cindy is a retired nurse who has been visiting Uganda for 23 years after helping to set up a children’s home there. She set up the charity Naphash Foundation to serve women in desperate need in 2011 – and this book recounts several miraculous incidents that have helped her along her incredible journey.
