I have gone by Which.co.uk's price guide as I feel this is very competitively priced. My typical call-out fee is £20. If the job is completed within half an hour, I only charge £10. If it takes more than an hour, even 2 or 3, it’s still £20. PC - removal of malware (scamware or spyware) Scan, remove and repair. Assuming a common type of malware. £20 PC – removal of virus Scan remove and repair. Assuming most common virus. £25 PC - install new operating system Install Windows 7, 8, 10 (when available) on a PC (other software is negotiable and a price can be discussed). £30 Visit customer’s home to set up a new desktop computer Set up home PC with standard monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer and Wi-Fi. £25 Upgrade RAM Customer to supply extra RAM (memory) to install in a standard PC or laptop. £10 I also provide IT training for general usage to help the user feel more comfortable using their tablet/laptop/desktop.
