📢 Microsoft 365 Licensing change on 1 July 2026! 📢

Price increases have become all too commonplace in recent years and for businesses they can be a real challenge. This July, Microsoft is introducing a major update to it's Microsoft 365 licensing bringing changes to pricing, plan features and subscription terms.

Why does this matter?

Well, if you want to beat the price rises, you can adjust your plans before June 30th 2026, and potentially retain your Microsoft pricing at the current rate for 12 months.

We're flying high this week with an article in the The Press and Journal about our founder, David, and how his first foray into coding thanks to the Royal Air Force is now being passed on by creating new opportunities in technology for young people across the Highlands.

"When David Massey joined the RAF, one manager ignored an aptitude test that suggested he could not code – and gave him a chance anyway. It proved life-changing. That moment has gone on to shape WePurpose Technology, the Inverness-based IT consultancy David founded in 2016 which now employs a team of nine."

You won't have been able to miss the news yesterday about the report that over 1 million young people are now not in education, employment or training (NEET). The report's author, Alan Milburn said that a jobs boom in recent decades "has largely passed young people by". The report points to entry level jobs, Saturday jobs and apprenticeships all falling.

Our Managing Director, David Massey, spoke to the BBC about the challenges facing young people and what WePurpose Technology and our clients are doing to help change that situation because we all have a part to play in making employment opportunities accessible to everyone.

It was such an honour for WePurpose Technology to be involved with the UHI Business Competition this year, and to lend our support to the next generation of entrepreneurs with their business ideas, as well as celebrate 20 years of the competition.

The annual competition truly showcases the entrepreneurial talent of UHI students, staff and community members and aspiring entrepreneurs from across the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) were celebrated, including two awards which were sponsored by WePurpose Technology.

This year’s milestone event attracted a record 154 entries, highlighting growing entrepreneurial ambition across the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Perthshire and our Founder, David Massey, was there to award some of the prizes.
