How much time do you lose each week searching for the right contact in Outlook? It might only be a few seconds each time. But when you are looking for a colleague, supplier, customer, or someone in another department several times a day, those small delays soon add up.

Microsoft has started rolling out a new "People" experience in Outlook that aims to make finding contacts quicker and simpler.

A few useful changes include:
✔️Search results appearing as you type

✔️Finding people by job title or department, not just their name

✔️Frequently contacted people appearing higher in results

✔️Company directory and personal contacts brought together in one place

✔️Easier access to email, Teams chat and calls from a single screen

There are also improvements to how contacts are organised, making it easier to group key clients, suppliers, and project teams.

Most productivity gains don't come from big changes.

They come from removing the little frustrations that interrupt your day.

If your team spends most of its time in Microsoft 365, updates like this can make everyday tasks feel a bit smoother without anyone having to learn a new system.

☑️ New laptops delivered, set up and ready to go.

We were delighted to hand over 11 fully configured laptops to Cameron and the team at Home-Start Aberdeen last week.

We look after everything from sourcing the equipment to setup and installation, so staff can simply switch on and get started.

Thanks to everyone who purchased a lucky square or donated to North East Scotland Swifts, we’ve now installed a new wall-mounted TV at the back of the café near the entrance to the Banking Hub — ready for us to hopefully (fingers crossed 🤞) enjoy the return of the swifts, who are due back any day now!

Today is World Password Day. A good reminder to make sure the passwords you use are strong and not reused across multiple accounts.

Passwords protect almost everything in a business. Email accounts, cloud files, finance systems and customer data. If a password is weak or reused, it makes access much easier for attackers.

Three simple things worth checking today:

🔒 Use a password manager if you're not already using one
🔒 Make sure every account has its own password
🔒 Turn on two-factor authentication wherever possible

If your team is still sharing logins or using 'Password1' for the office Wi-Fi, take this as a good excuse to tidy things up with your IT provider.
