A fantastic day at the Data & Marketing Association conference at the Ham Yard Hotel yesterday!
A brilliant start with Rachel Aldighieri and Tony Miller setting the tone with a simple but powerful reminder – we belong together.
The team gained valuable insights from a range of inspiring speakers. Highlights included:
📜 Rt Hon Ian Murray MP on the role of data, innovation and policy in shaping the UK’s marketing and creative economy
📊 Eleanor Thornton-Firkin and Greg Clayton from Ipsos on navigating a rapidly changing society, and how brands can balance realism with empathy
👪 A thought-provoking session on marketing ethics with Leila Seith Hassan Seith-Hassan and Sue MacLure, exploring how data and AI decisions can impact trust
🎤 The Great Debate, where Rak Patel, Charlotte Langley, Kate Taylor Tett, Vicky Brunwin and Pippa Morris explored whether purposeful marketing still holds relevance
And of course, no DMA conference would be complete without a bit of fun… a spontaneous sing-along and some impromptu dancing from the team. A great reminder of just how important human connection and community really are. Thank you, Mark De-Lisser, Vocal Coach on The Masked Singer 🎶
We ended the day with a standout keynote from Lea Karam, unpacking why people really make the choices they do. A brilliant reminder that even in a world driven by data and AI, great marketing still starts with understanding people.
A day full of insight, perspective and energy and a great reminder of why this industry continues to evolve.
