Bare buzzin, I’ll be reducing intake for repairs from the public as b2b repairs ramp up.

Just repaired a iPad Pro 12.9 6th gen for not having display output.

That in itself is not a biggy but it’s for who the repair was for that’s the biggy. That Im keeping well secret.

Upwards the direction, onwards I’ll be going!

Tester screen should look like that as the tech that took it off at cex’s repair centre went hammer and tong at it.

My last job was at remedy tech centre and that where I bought the iPad from that turned out to ic locked so it got used for parts.

Quite frustrated is the polite term i will use.
This pc was taken to one of the high street mobile phone shops for SATA port replacement.
Said it was going to Manchester to be done, a week later it comes back not done but a broken port just glued to the board. Not like oh we will jump wire the pins to the port to the board and then glue it down so actually works no, port was just glued to the board like it was some air fix kit, worst of all the guy was charged for this as well.

Lone behold of it being with me for about an hour, SORTED!

It’s pretty simple really, for get the rest and come to the best.

This may look a tad messy but to even get to this stage it’s taken a lot of learning and practice. Picture is of an iPhone apu that is partially re balled.
Im currently working hard to learn the skills required for board transplant meaning swapping over the memory chip the eeprom chip and apu to a new donor logic board. This is for data recovery so I can guarantee a data recovery fix. Once I’ve mastered this skill it will mean my skill set will be complete and effectively I’ll be amongst the god tier techs.
Still a lot of learning and practice to go as even at this point Im only 25% of the way there.
So far i cracked, apu removal with no pads broken, underfill removal with no pads broken, old solder removed with no pads broken, so far have managed to reball half of the apu as the stencil kept warping so I’ve order new types of stencils.
Considering I’ve managed to reball half of the apu it’s clearly a stencil issue. So as of next week i should be completing the entire process and test to see if it works. Fun times eh.
