Well here's an interesting way to repair an HDMI port on an XBox Series X. I don't think we have seen it done this way before. This looks like it has been glued in place. Not terribly surprising that it doesn't work and needs to be redone properly.

How do you lovely people manage to get your computers so
filthy ? This is an example of a very dirty CPU cooler.

You can cut down on the amount of dirt that gets in by raising
the computer up off the carpet.

This looks more like a biohazard, so the rubber gloves had to be employed while cleaning it.

This candidate came in the other day, for repair. It rather looks like that someone was in a hurry to fit their SSD or maybe they did not have a screwdriver to hand, or have the correct fitting kit, as it was flapping about inside the machine.

Is there a ghost in the machine ?

We had a laptop in earlier on which was making some peculiar noises. Closer inspection revealed that a tiny bit of plastic had become dislodged from somewhere, usually the case and had become lodged in the fan. Every time the fan came on, the laptop made a distinctly spooky sound. Needless to say once the offending piece of plastic was removed, order was restored.

This is what happens when you drop a garden Pergola on a laptop. Believe it or not apart from a bashed screen the laptop works perfectly it just has one of those ergonomic curves, that experts tell you is a "feature". in practice this means it's bent !

Are you annoyed that your brand spanking new laptop from Curry's does not have as many ports as you once had. Are you pi**ed off that you no longer have a LAN port and are forced to use WIFI even when it isn't very good. Maybe you should try one of our Gigabit Lan adapters instead. They work really well and convert any USB C port to a LAN port.
