3 signs your brand needs a refresh! ❤️

1. It no longer represents you

You feel embarrassed directing people to your social accounts or website because they don’t reflect your business values, market position or direction. Maybe you’ve seen rapid growth or gone through a merger.

2. Inconsistency is creeping in

Where the foundations of a brand haven’t been properly laid, your direction can easily be influenced by personal preferences, trends and quick wins. Producing graphics and content for your brand probably feels like a struggle!

3. You’re not attracting your tribe

Your ideal customers or clients either aren’t finding you, or, when they do, they don’t engage with your content—they’re either confused by what you offer or are uninspired by your brand.

THE SOLUTION

Invest in your brand strategy, the core foundation of your business. This should come way before discussing your visual appearance with your design agency. See it as an extension of your business plan and use the results to form a design strategy.

Bold brand refresh and a new suite of stationery for marketing consultants Meteoric! 🙌

We created the original Meteoric brand identity several years ago but they recently came to us again as they were ready for a refresh.

Their offering has developed so they wanted the identity to reflect their new approach and values.

We increased the coherency of the identity, ensuring it could easily be applied across their own marketing—particularly their social channels.

So! How are we all feeling about the Slack rebrand by Pentagram? We love it, but it’s definitely divided opinion and there’s plenty of nostalgia for the old # design.

Bold move from Slack ahead of their upcoming IPO, but necessary in design terms. Slack say the hashtag was simple to look at, but really difficult to get right - too many colours, a complicated angle, looked bad on anything but white.

We think Pentagram’s new treatment works really well to pull enough of the old logo through so it’s recognisable, but still giving a much cleaner and more versatile look to move forwards. And let’s be fair - most of us look at the Slack logo enough to get used to it pretty quick!
