Turns out winning awards means you occasionally get invited to lunch. 🏆

Yesterday, Martin Oates headed to Birmingham for the National Digital Awards Winners Lunch, celebrating alongside some of the industry's best.

It was a great opportunity to take a moment to celebrate as a team, reflect on the journey that brought us here and spend time surrounded by so many talented and inspiring people from across the digital industry.

Cubert takes on Codegarden. ✈️

From airport arrivals and conference sessions to making new friends and exploring Copenhagen with Martin and Matt, he threw himself into the full Codegarden experience.

Five years ago, we became an Umbraco Partner.

Since then? Hundreds of workshops, thousands of commits, countless coffees, a few late nights, and some brilliant websites we're really proud to have delivered.

This week, as another Codegarden comes to a close, we're celebrating a pretty special moment of our own: becoming an Umbraco Platinum Partner.

Looking back through this timeline, it's incredible to see how far we've come. From exciting client launches and team growth to community involvement and everything in between, every step has played a part in getting us here.

A massive thank you to our team, our clients and the wider Umbraco community for being part of the journey.

In a week full of headlines about record temperatures (33°C in May?! 👀) we had a first of our own to celebrate too…

We’re really proud to share that Pixelbuilders has won Best Agency Team (Small) at the very first National Digital Awards 🏆

Which means we’re officially the first ever winners of the category too!

What makes this one even better is what it recognised - not just the work, but the culture, collaboration and people behind the agency every day.

Building a team and culture people genuinely want to be part of has always mattered just as much to us as the work itself, so this award means a huge amount.

A few weeks ago, our Commercial Director, Martin Oates, joined agency leaders from across the North at the latest Prolific North roundtable to unpack what’s really shaping independent agencies right now, from pricing pressure and partnerships to client retention, positioning and moving beyond vanity metrics.

Martin's take - “If you wait for the brief, you’re already behind” - speaks to the shift agencies are seeing across the board right now.

In the run-up to Expo 4.0, we’re looking back at some of the moments from our last Pixel Expo Day 👀

The Egg Challenge brought out the creativity, teamwork and competitiveness in equal measure - with every team putting their engineering skills, problem-solving and presentation abilities to the test 🥚😂

Safe to say there were some very questionable methods along the way… but thankfully no eggs were harmed in the process.
