So whats happening in the world of making.... well i haven't been able to make it to any shows due to work commitments. ☹️.

For the first time ever i have booked to go to military odyssey this August bank holiday.

Comission work including making a load of 1920 cigarette packets for a vending machine in Ohio, USA. What blows my mind is that these are original Home Run wrappers which im using!

Still trying to master the gr***de ageing on to American pineapple gr***des. First test shows how terrible my green is, but mistakes are good. Thats how you learn.

Also very excited to be asked for a request to reproduce Kodak Kodachrome boxes from 1939. Something with a bit of colour to print.

Selling in to the EU from the UK....

So it appears another tariff is being implemented on to non EU countries selling in to the EU.

As of the 1st July any item below €150 will have a flat rate of €3 added to it. This will be added per item HS code, not per order.

So if your in the EU and were looking to buy small items in 11 days time they will be €3 more expensive. Joy! 🙄

So let's hope thay doesn't put buyers off or if you were after some items, now is the time to do it!

I have been working away for a week, so back to the grind with plenty of orders for lots of lovely pocket litter.

My FB algorithms have been feeding me modelling and painting pages. I picked up an idea from tank armour and thought could I make a gr***de as realistic as possible with my skill set.

Results below 😁. This takes a lot of extra processes and wont be my normal sellable item....although I can't list them on ebay. But if you ask nice enough 😉

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Looks very cool!

I fought the (ebay) law and the law won.....

Sad times! I contended the ebay removal of my gr***des just as sales were really moving and I was enjoying the painting.
Unfortunately I lost the conversation as its ordnance. No matter how i word it. Training item, prop, model, toy...its just not to be im afraid.

So thats just a kick up the arse to get my website reinstated. Lots of work ahead!so here's a picture of a deconstructed mills, just like my sales listing.

The biscuits are just for the hell of it.

So if you like my mills gr***des contact me directly for purchases.

B Grade!....once in a while if im making a biscuit or box andnit doesn't quite go right I chuck it in the order with the better one. Saves throwing it away.

Grenades are a little different. I have these 4 x mills that either have a smudge on the paint or I went too heavy with the wash. Still totally acceptable and good for set dressing or box filling.

40£ for all 4 posted to the first person who comments "me please" 😁

What can you do with 5 quid in the UK nowadays, well some would say not alot.
I disagree! 5 British pounds gets 1 vehicle in to The spirit of sherwood event at Thoresby Hall, Nottinghamshire.

Thats right this event charges by the car, so fill all the seats in a family saloon and thats a quid entry per person! Bargain .

So what do you get for your fiver, well actually quite a lot. A well organised event. Ample parking, decent car park marshalls. Lots of reenactors, loads to look at if you like vehicles and weapons and obviously some pocket litter.

Plenty of loos, good traders, lots of hay bale seats, 3 choices for decent food at reasonable prices.

I had some great chats with the regulars from axis and allies, got spotted taking photos of orange cordial by members of the East Yorkshire Regiment Living History Group doing civil defence "a bunch of mates" group. German reenactors chatting about the inner carton or Regie ci******es, which has me referencing my books! I must find out who they are !

Some of my stuff spotted in the wild as well 😁 and proof that a display can come in any size

This place knows how to put on an event, watch it. It's only going to get bigger and better

As per usual no photos of jeeps, tanks or guns. Just set dressing 😁

Free events!!....surely not in this day and age? Everyone wants your money and there's no such thing as a free meal.

Well Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, UK does exactly the opposite. The town centre park holds a 40s weekend and last week was no exception. The event pulls in a lot of people and reenactors. From land army to homeguard, infantry from the axis and allies. All are welcome.

I had a chat with old friends and had a good look at the Derby and Notts homeguard spigot mortar. An amazing build and worthy of your time to admire the amount of work gone in to it.

This is a lovely friendly relaxed event and worthy of a visit, if not just to see how community can come together. Just look at the amount of people visiting.

Next weekend im visiting the Spirit of Sherwood, Nottinghamshire, Uk
