As part of our ongoing council contracts and multi-trade projects, we have painting & decorating capability within our own team, allowing us to provide a more complete service to our clients.

Our commitment to those contracts means there are occasions when we have availability within the team – and rather than leaving that capacity unused, we’d like to offer it to our local domestic and light commercial customers.

We’re making a few upgrades to the Vans, which means our Ford Fiesta Zetec Van is now looking for a new home.

This has been a great little van for us. Despite the higher mileage, it runs well and has been reliable throughout its time with CAMTECH.

It’s mainly been used for transporting our team to sites, attending training courses and general day-to-day business travel – it hasn’t been used as a heavy work van carrying tools and materials.

❤️ INTRODUCING CAMTECH FEEL GOOD FRIDAY ❤️

At CAMTECH, we’re proud of how far we’ve come – but we haven’t forgotten where we came from or the communities that have supported us along the way.

So, we want to give something back.

Once a month, we’re going to set aside up to one working day of our team’s time to help someone in our local community who genuinely needs it.

⚡ This could be repairing unsafe or faulty outdoor lighting.
❤️ Helping a family going through a difficult time.
🏠 Supporting a local community centre, club or charity.
🔧 Carrying out a small electrical improvement that could make a big difference.

⚡♻️ Project Progress Update – Midlothian Council Recycling Centre 🚧

A few weeks ago, we shared the start of our refurbishment works at a Midlothian Council recycling centre. Since then, our team has been making excellent progress, overcoming challenges and keeping the project moving forward.

As with many refurbishment projects, we’ve encountered a few unforeseen obstacles along the way. These required the installation of new containment around the perimeter of the building, but we’re delighted with how the finished installation has turned out. It’s another example of delivering a practical solution without compromising on quality.

With the first fix now complete, we’re well into the next phase of the project as the final fit-out continues.

A huge credit to our team for the professionalism, workmanship and attention to detail they’ve shown throughout the project. We’re proud of the standards they’re delivering every day.

We’d also like to give a big thank you to Fife Signs for producing our new CAMTECH construction site signage. Strong partnerships with trusted local suppliers are incredibly important to us, and it’s great to work alongside businesses that share our commitment to quality and professionalism.

We were delighted to welcome Deputy First Minister Jenny Gilruth MSP and the team from the Scottish Government, along with the Federation of Small Businesses, to CAMTECH this week.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share our journey—from starting as a small local electrical contractor to becoming a growing engineering business, while staying true to our roots here in Leven.

The visit wasn’t just about showing our new premises. It was about sharing our vision for the future, our passion for developing people and engineering skills, and our commitment to continuing to invest in the local community that has supported us from day one.

We’re incredibly proud to be moving into part of the former Silberline facility. For many local families, including my own, the site has a long history, and it’s a privilege for CAMTECH to play a small part in creating new opportunities where so many skilled people once built their careers.

I’d also like to thank all of our customers, suppliers and business partners for the trust they’ve placed in CAMTECH over the last few years. Whether you’ve invited us into your home, trusted us with a commercial project or partnered with us on major industrial work, every opportunity has helped us grow into the business we are today.

A special thank you to the Federation of Small Businesses for helping make the visit possible and for continuing to champion businesses like ours.

🏢✨ A sneak peek at the future of Camtech Services… 👀

We’ve officially taken over two units within the old Silberline compound, and this is the first of them being brought back to life.

Our main office is coming together with the signature Camtech colours throughout, and the mural in our Managing Director’s office is nearly complete. The team has done a fantastic job getting everything ready for some very important visitors tomorrow—an exciting milestone that brings real optimism and opportunity for the future of the business.

There’s still plenty of work ahead. We have more decorating to complete before the flooring is laid throughout the building, but it’s all starting to come together and we’re excited to share the journey with you.

We’re also planning to create a dedicated training room within our main compound, providing a space to develop our team, invest in the next generation of electricians, and help aspiring tradespeople build successful careers in the industry. ⚡👷

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as we continue transforming our new premises and share the next chapter of Camtech’s growth. 🚀

We’re delighted to have donated and installed a brand-new audio and lighting system for Aberhill Primary School. It’s been a pleasure to give something back to a school at the heart of our community, and we hope this new setup helps create even more memorable assemblies, performances, celebrations and school events for many years to come.

The confidence and enjoyment children gain from taking part in school productions is invaluable, and we’re pleased to have played a small part in helping make those moments even more special.
