As Nick's off on a well-earned holiday next week (July 28th to Aug 3rd) Chris will be here on store caretaker duty.

During this time, Chris will be happy to offer advice and supply anything you need from our extensive range of accessories, cables, ink, and computer supplies - but workshop repairs, upgrades and new builds will be on hold until Nick returns on the 4th of August.

We also have a range of lovely brand new & refurbished laptops in stock and a small stock of brand new PCs ready to take home during this time. Any data transfers or software installs will be taken care of once Nick has returned.

The latest heatwave is upon us - and its this time of year when we see the most heat-related faults in the workshop.

Preventative maintenance can really help keep your laptop or desktop PC from running too hot, something that if left unchecked can cause further problems down the line, even when temperatures return to normal.

Two separate customers came down to see me this morning, both having the same sudden trackpad failure issue. Both HP laptops. Bizarrely they both have the same root cause - a dangerously swollen battery!

The heat this week has likely caused both of these failures and I'm so glad they came to get it sorted because these are fire risks 😬
