SonicWall has published data showing that a known vulnerability in Hikvision IP cameras was the most exploited security flaw across UK networks in 2025. It generated over 67 million blocked attack attempts and accounted for more than 20% of all serious intrusion alerts the company recorded.

The flaw is not new, nor is the warning. The problem is that huge numbers of devices remain online and connected, and have never been patched or reviewed.

The industry has a term for this: Zombie Tech. Equipment that is still running and internet-facing but no longer properly maintained.

We have started 2026 at full pace, so we have been quieter online than usual. It has been non stop behind the scenes, and we are excited to share a big update. We are moving into our new office on 1st February.
