What makes PMC monitors sound the way they do?
PMC’s transmission line design controls the energy coming from the rear of the bass driver by sending it through a long, carefully damped path inside the cabinet. This absorbs unwanted higher frequencies while allowing the lowest frequencies to emerge through the vent in phase with the driver.
The result is deep, controlled low end from a cabinet that can sound far bigger than its physical footprint would suggest.
Combine that with PMC’s amplification, crossover technology and no-compromise driver design, and it’s not hard to see why their monitors find homes in some of the world’s biggest studios, as well as the production rooms of countless engineers and producers.
