Finally, Apple is doing something worthwhile! With the arrival of iOS 18, we can now replace parts like screens, batteries, and cameras from other devices, and the system will recognize them as original. If you decide to repair the device, it will enter diagnostic mode, connect to Wi-Fi, and that's it!

iOS 18 brings a "Repair Assistant " feature to configure replacement parts after a repair, the feature ensures that the iPhone is functional and working properly if it's been repaired with an Apple part. Do note that the apple iOS 18's Repair Assistant feature works with genuine Apple components only.

Keep this in mind! If you install a part, like a screen or battery, from a device that is marked as stolen or has pending payments, IT WILL NOT WORK, and you'll receive a message. I'm not sure yet if it will block the device, we'll have to test that.
