What an evening at the HiiLIFE x BTR News event in the Samsung KX showroom!

We were delighted to bring together leaders from across the Build To Rent sector on Wednesday, to explore how technology is reshaping the future of BTR living.

Thank you to George Kekatos and Marcus Foley for their standout keynote speeches, setting the tone for conversation about the cultural, creative, and technological forces shaping the BTR sector.

This was followed by an expert panel chaired by Debra Yudolph with thoughtful insights from Honor Barratt, Sakina Murtaza, Kirpal Rehinsi, and our very own Charles McAlpine.

Key themes discussed included the rise of fully integrated systems, and technology’s growing influence on design and resident experience.

Guests were also invited to experience Samsung’s latest innovations through tours led by our technical team – showcasing how integrated systems elevate the developer offering for the end user.

All this, accompanied by plenty of canapés and drinks… a pretty great evening in our eyes!

This week, the HiiLIFE team had the privilege of visiting the Research & Development Centre in Warsaw. They were introduced to the latest innovations in SmartThings Pro, Samsung’s innovative platform for connected living and building management.

SmartThings Pro is opening up exciting new possibilities for the BTR and PBSA sectors, delivering smarter energy management, seamless automation, and enhanced resident experiences.

The team then visited .deweloper , where its premium residential developments are fully managed and controlled by SmartThings technology.

We are thrilled to have worked with Park Garages on the installation of its own brand bakery, Bakery 79. It was great to get the project underway at the Wimborne and Stafford sites – the first of 77 locations due to receive the ‘Bakery79’ makeover.

HiiLIFE installed new ‘in ceiling’ speakers and reconfigured all display screens in the bakery – all of which was completed within 48 hours for both locations.

The new solution brings control of all display screens across Park Garage’s 77 stores under one system, allowing Park Garages to update the marketing collateral at all venues with the push of a button.

It was great to work with Evexi who helped with delivering the new software.

Moving forward, HiiLIFE will also be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of Park Garage’s air conditioning units. We look forward to rolling out the installation across the rest of Park Garages’ sites over the course of the year.

Something a little different for us.
We recently installed these professional karaoke systems into a luxury student development in Ireland.
The systems are paired with a Samsung 75” Display, wireless microphones and Sonance 2.1 audio system.

The students are able to book the room via a portal and get access to the latest songs through the system which are updated weekly.
& Luke couldn’t help but give the system a little test!

The Samsung 65” Terrace high bright TV installed into a luxury student accommodation development in Belfast last month.

The Terrace has been specifically designed for outdoor use, being waterproof with an automatic adjustable backlight that adapts to different weather conditions.

Paired with a dedicated Samsung 2.1 outdoor rated soundbar for exceptional audio coverage across this outdoor patio area.

The system includes the ability to wirelessly mirror content from any mobile or laptop, with the added ability to use smart Apps such at Netflix and Prime video. For the summer season we added a HDMI input to allow the connection of consoles for outdoor play.

Yamaha commercial digital wall mount volume and source controller paired with an Apple iPad for album art and playlist control.

We installed these in multiple student accommodation projects across Belfast, to control the separate zones of audio with dedicated playlists for each of the zones including high tempo music for the GYMS and relaxed music for the bars and lounges.

The systems are remotely managed and supported by Hii-LIFE for maximum uptime with all music licenced to be played in public environments 🎵
