According to McKinsey βLike almost all functions in essentially every sector, the shift to remote selling was born of necessity, as lockdowns, shelter-in-place orders, and quarantines forced people to stay at home. Not surprisingly, the trend of switching to phone is more pronounced in some sectors than in others: in technology, media, and telecoms, it is nearly 100 percent.β
The trend will develop as we noticed that meeting face to face is not always essential. The lockdown caused that many of us are inseparable from our phones. Dropping the text message to our customer is not a bad idea.
