While Dell Technologies doesn’t want to mention the MacBook Neo when discussing the Dell 14S, there’s no disputing the fact that two are rivals. High quality metal chassis? Check. Low price? Yep. Attractive design? Oh yes. Even from our brief time with the laptop at IFA Berlin 2026, we could see plenty of reasons why people would choose the Dell 14S over the Neo. Even businesses should take a look.

First-impressions review here👇

Should businesses consider buying the Dell 14S? With excellent build quality and battery life, our play with the laptop at IFA suggests yes

We’re now several months into the rejuvenation of Windows 11, with Microsoft promising an overhaul of the OS to make it run faster on older hardware and become better suited for this AI age. As part of the Acer keynote, Mark Linton from Microsoft took to the stage and gave an insight into the latest Windows 11 K2 developments.

The first thing he talked about was the idea of “unmetered intelligence”. The idea that where Bill Gates talked about having a PC on every desk, people will now have access to limitless intelligence wherever they are.

“Unmetered intelligence, that’s how we think about it,” said Linton. “These powerful PCs can do so much, why not offload to the PC for your AI workloads and create workloads?” So future versions of Windows 11 will weave “AI into not only the user experience but also the platform”.

Up to 5,000 Dropbox users have received emails notifying them that their accounts were compromised by attackers in August. And the compromises were big: these accounts had been accessed without authorisation for a two-week period. Although Dropbox said that less than a third of the impacted accounts had their files accessed by the attackers, the seriousness of the attack methodology can’t be ignored by security teams at any organisation.

Dropbox told Reuters that the security incident involved accounts that were linked to some Lenovo ID’s without two-factor authentication enabled. Lenovo says that a legacy integration was behind the incident, which led to the improper authentication of some Dropbox accounts.

There are a number of lessons to be learned from this particular set of account compromises. “Every single one of the compromised accounts lacked multi-factor authentication,” said Muhammad Yahya P., vCISO & Cybersecurity Advisor at Huntress. “In 2026, for cloud storage accounts holding data, that’s an indefensible gap, and it’s one that users could have closed themselves regardless of what Lenovo or Dropbox did or didn’t do with their legacy integration.”

👉 Additional thanks to Piyush Sharrma, CEO at Tuskira and Justin Beals, CEO & Founder of Strike Graph for sharing their insights for this article.

As part of our “The future of life sciences R&D” series, exploring how emerging technologies – from AI and digital trials to synthetic biology and advanced data platforms – are reshaping the future of drug discovery, clinical research, and scientific innovation, we invited Niamh McGuinness, PhD, Senior Director, Pharma Solutions, within IQVIA ’s Applied AI Science organisation, to share her views.

McGuinness examines why the success of AI in life sciences depends on the quality and structure of the scientific content that supports it. Drawing on examples from drug discovery and biomarker research, McGuinness explores how connected, enriched, and traceable scientific knowledge can help researchers move beyond faster answers towards deeper, more reliable inquiry and lay the foundations for the next generation of agentic AI in R&D.

AI can transform life sciences R&D, but only with connected, traceable scientific knowledge that researchers and AI systems can trust.

Enterprise cloud applications vendor Unit4 has announced that Anja Sadock has joined the company as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Sadock has more than 20 years of experience in global marketing and commercial leadership across SaaS, hospitality and consumer goods for companies including Scandic Hotels and Procter & Gamble, where she spent nearly 15 years.

She joins Unit4 from TrusTrace, a B2B SaaS platform for supply chain traceability, where she served as senior vice president of marketing and, prior to that, as head of marketing. During her tenure there, she helped the company grow to become a leader in its category.

“Anja is exactly the marketing leader we set out to find: someone who thinks like a brand-builder, executes like a demand generation operator, and leads like a coach,” Unit4 Chief Revenue Officer Johan Reventberg said.

In a recent press statement, &P Dow Jones Indices (&P DJI) and digital asset data provider Kaiko announced the launch of the S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices suite. The platform consolidates their respective crypto benchmarks, reference rates, and multi-asset indices under a single co-branded offering. The new suite launches with more than 4,000 rates and indices across the digital asset market. S&P DJI said the move combines institutional benchmark governance with crypto-native market-data infrastructure.

It’s a relatively simple arrangement on paper. Kaiko supplies the market data, calculates the benchmarks and provides the methodology expertise, while S&P DJI manages administration, licensing and global distribution. The infrastructure at Kaiko integrates with over 150 trading venues and maintains 24/7 operations, an essential requirement for a financial ecosystem that remains active at all times.

However, the announcement matters beyond a branding exercise.

S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko consolidate 4,000+ crypto benchmarks into a new suite, targeting institutional-grade data standards.

European organisations are moving AI into environments designed around jurisdictional control, data residency and operational independence. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) European Sovereign Cloud provides that infrastructure, while ARIS adds the process context that helps enterprises turn sovereignty into governed ex*****on.

It is a complementary model: one establishes where AI runs; the other helps define how it participates in business operations.

An agent reviewing contracts, approving purchase orders or adjusting stock works most effectively when it understands the business. For example, approval paths, spending thresholds, decision rights, exceptions and escalation points. ARIS makes those relationships visible as an operational model.

Lenovo has been crowned as the world’s top disability inclusive businesses according to the Disability Index.

The Disability Index is a benchmarking tool for measuring and advancing disability inclusion in business. The Disability Index assessment considers a range of business practices, including accessibility, workplace accommodations, recruitment, career development, leadership, supplier inclusion and organisational culture.

The technology vendor said it marks the first time it has participated in the Disability Index across all eight markets covered by its Disability Advantage strategy. These include Argentina, Brazil, India, Japan, Mexico, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Out of those markets, Brazil, India, Japan, Slovakia and the United States received Advanced-level recognition.

In previous years, the company said it only submitted a “limited number” of markets to participate in the Disability:IN Index.

“Disability inclusion is fundamental to building a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow and innovate,” said Lenovo Chief Inclusion Officer Calvin J. Crosslin.

Unit4 recently launched Data Hub, a managed data-extraction service for Unit4 ERPx that’s designed to remove the manual work that often sits between an ERP system and the analytics tools businesses depend on to make decisions.

It is a practical announcement that points to a much larger problem in cloud ERP.

Companies have spent years moving finance, HR and project-management processes into cloud platforms. But the data generated by those platforms usually remains difficult to access, combine and analyse. Whenever applications change, teams export spreadsheets, manage file transfers, work around API limits and rebuild integrations.

The ERP has moved to the cloud, but the insight process, in most instances, is often still stuck on the ground.

Unit4’s Data Hub confronts the cloud ERP battleground, breaking down data silos to provide organizations with governed access to critical business insights
