🚨 Can you spot a Voice Cloning Scam? 🚨

📞 Unknown Caller: Hey, it's [Familiar Voice]. My phone just got stolen. Could you transfer some funds to this account so I can get home? I'll pay you back as soon as I can.

🛑SCAM Likely 🛑

Voice cloning technology has advanced to the point where scammers can sound exactly like someone you know! They could use snippets of audio from social media or other sources to mimic someone you trust.

🛡️ What should you DO?
Firstly, DON'T PANIC. Do not act impulsively. Always VERIFY the situation separately. Call back on a known number, or reach out to mutual contacts.
Stay alert, stay safe. Spread the word and let's catch these scammers together!

When paying for a holiday, pay by credit card where possible as it offers better buyer protection in case anything goes wrong.

Always be wary about paying directly into a private individual’s bank account as this could be a scam.

"Scammer: This exclusive coin is available for just £1,000, which is an excellent price considering its rarity and expected appreciation in value.
It's a fantastic investment opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Once we receive your payment, we will ship the coin directly to your address within a week.”

Stay vigilant and always question unsolicited offers. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Scammers are now using voice cloning to scam you and your loved ones!

Recently, a mother shared her harrowing experience with one such scam. She received a call that sounded exactly like her daughter, who was screaming for help and claiming she had been kidnapped. Terrified, the mother immediately contacted the police, only to find out that it was a scam-call which used AI voice cloning technology.
