Regionteater Väst — Sweden’s largest touring performing arts institution for young audiences — is seeking dance artists for the 2026–2027 season under new artistic leadership by Martin Forsberg.

📍 Borås & Stockholm, Sweden

• Sept 19, 2026 — Borås

💼 Contracts: Two 1-year contracts starting Dec 2026

Regionteater Väst creates bold, accessible, and artistically challenging dance and theatre for children and young audiences. Working in a touring repertoire company, dancers engage in new creations, revivals, workshops, audience interaction, and performances across theatres, schools, and alternative venues.

We’re looking for dancers who:
✅ Have a strong and grounded dance foundation
✅ Are experienced with improvisation and collaborative creation
✅ Bring a clear artistic voice and strong work ethic
✅ Are interested in performing for young audiences
✅ Enjoy ensemble work and touring environments

Applicants must have at least 3 years of professional experience.

Cecilia Moisio Company × Maas theater en dans are seeking versatile dance artists with a strong physical presence and a curiosity for interdisciplinary performance, who are excited about performing and interacting with young audiences, for the upcoming co-production TALK TO ME (12+), premiering in Fall 2027.

📍 Rotterdam, Netherlands

TALK TO ME is a physical and musical youth performance exploring the voice in your head — and the power to rewrite it. Through movement, text, singing, and music, the work dives into themes of performance pressure, social comparison, online influence, and mental health among teenagers and young adults today.

We’re looking for performers who:
✅ Have strong technical and physical dance ability
✅ Bring emotional depth and expressive performance quality
✅ Feel comfortable with acting and character work
✅ Have singing or vocal expression skills
✅ Enjoy interdisciplinary and collaborative creation

We especially welcome artists who move fluidly between dance, theatre, and voice. Professional experience in contemporary dance/performance is required.

📍 Rehearsals will take place in Rotterdam, with performances touring across the Netherlands through the end of 2027. Priority will be given to performers living in the Netherlands and you will be employed for the duration of the project.

Hej Regionteater Väst 👋 välkommen till Lanced!

Based in Borås, Regionteater Väst is Sweden’s largest touring performing arts institution for children and young people — and one of the country’s leading producers of theatre and dance for young audiences.

With more than 20 years of experience creating performing arts with, by and for children and young people, their work goes far beyond the stage. From performances and touring to workshops, conversations, reference groups and close encounters with young audiences, Regionteater Väst continues to shape how dance can move, challenge and connect the next generation.

We’re also excited to see Martin Forsberg step into the role of Artistic Director Dance in August 2026. After eight years as Dance Director at Norrdans, and with an international career as a choreographer, Martin brings a powerful vision for dance as something playful, serious and deeply alive.

As Martin beautifully says: creating dance for children and young people is not a smaller assignment — it is a larger one.

Maša Kolar, incoming Ballet Director at Theater Nordhausen, described navigating dancer profiles on Lanced as “a kind of game.”

It’s the first time we’ve gotten this ‘gamified’ feedback, and it feels like a compliment. Because that is part of the idea.

When reviewing hundreds of applications, the experience shouldn’t feel like digging through tiny spreadsheet rows or endlessly searching through emails. It should feel intuitive, clear, and even enjoyable, while still holding all the detail and context you need to make the right decisions.

The easier and more natural the process feels, the more space there is actually to get to know the dancers behind the application.
