Okay so we’re not getting the full service back… but we’re getting two lines back!

From 27th November, Friday and Saturday night tube trains will be running on London Underground’s Central and Victoria lines. This will allow passengers a safe journey home and give a much-needed boost to bars and restaurants in the city centre.

said the rest of the night tube network, Northern, Piccadilly, and Jubilee lines, will not reopen just yet, it wants to secure long-term and sustainable funding from the government to help recover from the pandemic.

A petition started by student, Ella Watson, to reinstate the Night Tube to improve the safety of women traveling across London at night, has gained over 150,000 signatures. Calling upon officials such as the Mayor of London and the Prime Minister, amongst others, to “take responsibility for women’s public safety”.

Has your work/life balance improved since you’ve been working from home? A survey we conducted last month shows that many of you definitely think it has!

Out of all our participants who are working 1-2 days a week, 37% said they’re enjoying their newfound work/life balance, and a huge 50% of those who are working 3-4 days a week are loving their new lives!

Being able to work from home, even for a couple days of the week, opens up the opportunity for us to enjoy our free time, whether that’s by spending valuable time with family, heading out to meet friends or even taking some well-deserved me-time.

We asked some seriously interesting questions in our survey, want to read more? Click the link in our bio to read more about what we asked our users on how they’re currently using public transport.

Did you know that in April 2001, the London Underground tried to give our sense of smell a break while we rushed around? A ‘scent experiment’ took place for around a month St James’ Park, Euston and Piccadilly Circus stations.

Advertised as “a fresh, watery floral bouquet of rose and jasmine, combines with citrus top notes, tiny touches of fruit and herbs, giving way to woody accents and a hint of sweetness in the base”, a fragrance called Madeleine was mopped on to station floors with its scent being released by passengers walking over it.

It was a nice idea but, in a good ol’ London fashion, we hated it! Described as “medicinal” and “slightly naff suburban”, with one commuter even saying it makes the station smell like a toilet!

Since this experiment, there have been notable advertising campaigns, one by , when promoting their new Pink gin, and another by , when promoting their cucumber and strawberry gin, where both companies used scented posters on tunnels in Oxford Circus and Kings Cross stations.

Our app doesn’t have a “Least Smelly” journey option quite yet, but we can find you the fastest option, so whatever the smells are, you won’t have to suffer in them for too long!

When you get into the office today drop some brain-boggling facts about the London Underground. We can’t promise it’ll help with the promotion you’re looking for, but they might make everyone smile.

Did you know that Baker Street tube station is one of the oldest stations on the London Underground? In fact, it’s one of the oldest underground stations in the world, serving the Metropolitan Line since 1863!

Originally called The Metropolitan Railway, the train would travel between Paddington and Farringdon, the first urban underground railway route in the world!

Currently, Baker Street’s busiest times are between 7:00-9:15am and 4:15-6:30pm, or how we know it… rush hour.

TUBR shows you upcoming quiet times – the best times to travel that might require a short wait before going into the station. Would you wait 15 minutes to completely avoid the post-work rush and have a comfortable journey back home?

You may be undecided on whether the Central Line or the Bakerloo Line’s the hottest, but we can all agree that a sweltering journey before work is not something we need!

There may be a route around those lines... TUBR can help you plan a journey to avoid the sweaty armpits in your face.

Find the best route to keep you comfortable during your commute. Some of the cooler lines include the Circle, Hammersmith & City, District and Metropolitan Lines, their air-conditioned carriages make getting around an easy-breezy job.

Another way to ‘keep your cool’ as you make your way around London is to choose the ‘Quietest’ route, the route less travelled, it might be a bit longer but you won’t have the same issues as the fastest route.
