More details. Our creative brief emphasized a focus on the tradition of families cooking together and passing recipes down through generations. I hand sketched this tile imagery as a visualization of being in a family kitchen. Probably inspired by my own family having tiled kitchen backsplashes that I've always loved!

Hot off the press. A new brand I’m excited to share more of when it launches soon. ⚡️ I’ve been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work this year for existing and former branding clients. Marketing materials, website maintenance, email marketing design, etc. It’s been great to work closely with brands I’ve designed in the past. Working intimately with the color palettes, logo suites and typefaces that I crafted and paired together to represent these brands is the true test of functionality. In the process, we’ve uncovered the strengths and a few weaknesses in each brand’s versatility. Growth is everything! Becoming a stronger designer with each project, even those that feel “less creative” than others.

Excited to share this branding project recently completed for My Own Money, Texas-based financial planning firm dedicated to building a trusting relationship with individuals and small businesses for the purpose of pursuing their financial goals. 💛 This was a rebrand from the business’ formerly static, outdated brand identity. It’s amazing what a refresh can do for a business from the inside out! I loved working with .todd to bring her vision to life for this family business near & dear to her heart.

Sending a huge congratulations to my lovely client on her recent business launch! Cecile is an incredibly talented interior designer based in Austin, Texas. She trained in London at the renowned , has worked with clients internationally, and has just launched her own studio serving both residential and commercial clients. I loved working with Cecile to develop her studio’s brand identity & collateral and will be over here gushing over her interior projects for the foreseeable future 🤍🖤💛 Congrats, Cecile!!

Every CTP Creative brand includes a brand style guide for you to fully understand the parameters of your brand and have the tools to implement it yourself. An inquiring new client recently asked me, “is it okay if I implement the brand you design into our own collateral instead of hiring you to do it for us?”, to which I reassured YES! Once we complete a brand design, this is exactly my aim in providing the detailed brand style guide. While I love working with clients to design follow-up collateral where a designer’s touch adds the extra punch needed, my goal is to set each client up with a full branding toolkit that essentially frees them from having to hire a designer for every little thing. 🤍

Guiding clients through the creative process. Yesterday, I was compiling some tips on the topic and it had me reflecting on it for the first time in a while. Guiding clients strategically and effectively through the creative process is a HUGELY important part of what I do. Designing brands for clients is about so much more than just offering good design ideas. It’s about making sure my client trusts me and that they feel fully understood in their vision. Design is a collaborative process by nature, and it’s my job to simultaneously allow my client to participate while also feeling completely taken care of with the purposeful design solutions that I propose. It’s not magic…because it’s hard work…but when done right, it WORKS like magic. And boy do I LOVE finding that magic with a client when we finalize a brand together! ✨
