‪I’m currently running into several stability issues involving Unity, on top of some hurdles regarding a local and networked multiplayer game I’m working on, so I have a question to ask. ‬

‪Has anyone who follows me worked on a multiplayer game in Unreal. How does it compare? ‬

Today I had the pleasure of attending the University of Bristol Games Show.

Third year computer science students have made a variety of games with some interesting concepts.

You had one which used RFID Sensors and your phone to allow you to take part in this Overcooked type cooking game, a potions making game that used a haptic feedback device (which I unfortunately did not get to play), a spy game where you had to travel to different ‘countries’ around the building to obtain information about your target, and a VR shopping game where one person had a shopping list and a trolley, and the other had a VR helmet and the ability to pick up items.

I had an awesome time seeing what Bristol students had been hard at work making, and I loved how non-conformist the games were.

Can’t wait for next years show.

Last night I had the pleasure to attend this months monthly anti-social at the Bristol Games Hub. This one had a guest appearance from , so they had multiple talks including one from the freaking Oliver Twins (We all had to keep our fan-boying in check 😂). I learnt a lot, and had a great time. The games hub is an amazing game dev community for Bristol and the south west, and I’d highly recommend their anti Socials for learning and networking. @ Stokes Croft

Over the weekend I completed my THIRD Global Game Jam, and my 6th Game Jam overall.

I worked in an amazing team of 7, and we are proud to present MOVING DAY, a local coop party game.

The game can be downloaded here: https://globalgamejam.org/2019/games/moving-day-3

You play as 4 College Students asserting dominance over your shared house by getting the most personal items into the most rooms.

Also it's a local multiplayer party game, so it requires multiple controllers to play.

Assert dominance over your new housemates by making a house a home, your home. An up to 4 player party game where you try to move as many of your items in the house as possible all while keeping your housemates items out of the house.Jam Site: The Foundry | PlayWest | UWEGames | 2019Jam...

My top 7 creative works of 2018 (Games, TV Shows, Movies and Music Albums) [FREE]

Official Post from Joel Draper: So, as it's now the final day of 2018, recently I've been seeing a lot of "top 10 games of 2018" or "top 10 movies of 2018" and I was thinking to myself "I haven't seen that many movies from this year or played that many games from this year." After all, a lot of the....
