Stuff is waste without its story - indistinguishable, unvalued, discarded. The story of a thing is its past, its present, its future

➡️Where it comes from

➡️Its current state

➡️How it'll be maintained

The story is what turns this stuff into valuable, and treasured, things.

Antiques, wine, instruments, art, tech, real estate, clothing – be it provenance for fraud protection, guarantees of ethical manufacture, or proof of historical/emotional significance, these aren’t abstract concerns, but questions every one asks of their goods, every single day.

But this story is too often hidden, obscured or unobtainable, and often not because of any malfeasance, but just because we do not think to save this information in any standard, accessible, trustable way.

There is also, absolutely, malfeasance.

It is currently profitable to turn 'things' in to 'stuff', to be thrown away and re-bought.

Mattereum Asset Passports are the standard, accessible, trustable way to bind an asset’s story to itself, turning stuff in to things, and waste into valued assets.

Mattereum makes it profitable to turn 'stuff' in to 'things'.

Throwing stuff away is a failure, and we do not need to do it.

The future is turning 'stuff' in to 'things'.
