We’ve got a very exciting project to announce. The MCI JH-542B from Red Bus studios London.

A serious chop to the modules results in just the important mic/line pre-amp and the 4 band EQ. We are producing a number of stereo 2u 19” rack units, along with 8x channel buckets, ( modules mounted vertically) with stereo summing as well.

The MCI JH-500 series is renowned for its huge headroom and punchy dynamics. This is down to big fat +/- 32.5 power supply voltage rails.

This fabulous console ruled London during the 80’s and countless hit records were made on it.
It had been in storage for many years with little prospect of finding a home, and I hope you’ll agree this is a fitting way to resurrect this great sounding piece of audio history.

Pete Clarke ( ex-MCI UK ) has been brought in as a consultant and out team along with Pete will ensure every aspect of these modules will be 100% on the button.

Long standing Unity Audio fan Tom Dalgety swung by the office yesterday. Tom has been on board with us for a decade having used his Rocks active 2 way monitor for both Royal Blood albums, Killing Joke, Pixies, Opeth, Ghost, Band of Skulls to name a few.

Tom picked up Boulder MK-III, Rock MK-III and Mini-Rocks for use in a forthcoming project being recorded at Rockfield.

As Tom is considered family, I loaned him a pile of my vintage snares, cymbals and mic pres’s for the project! Cant wait to hear the results!

Linden Jay adds Unity Audio Rock MK-III monitors to the mix

London based Linden Jay has added the Unity Audio's Rock MK-III active 2 way monitor for his production studio.

“Ever since I shared a studio with a friend a while ago who owned a pair of Rock MkII’s, I caught the Unity Audio bug and they’ve become my go-to monitoring! They have such a flat and honest sound, they instantly expose gaps or clashes in the mix and they really helped me gain more control over my mixes.”

Linden is a successful and prolific songwriter, engineer, producer and also one half of the band FARR. His skills span the genres of Pop, Hip Hop, House, R&B and Soul. Jazz trained at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. He has produced and written with an array of artists as diverse as Rejjie Snow, Lion Babe, RITUAL, JGrrey, Barney Artist, Born Dirty and Shola Ama, Bas, Maverick Sabre, Reuben James, Poppy Ajudha, Kwaye, and Jaz, Chloe x Halle, Loyle Carner, Joji, Sinead Harnett, Lophiile, Jay Mooncie, Yeti and Kurtis McKenzie.

The Rock was the first active monitor in the Unity Audio range which was launched in 2009. The highly respected and revered Rock has been embraced over the decade by thousands of professional engineers, producers, artists, recording and mastering studios all over the world.
