✨ Just like that, another incredible year supporting Trooping the Colour – The King’s Birthday Parade events has flown by! Nearly 20,000 tickets sold and visitors welcomed over the three Saturday events. Sunshine and smiles all round! 🌞😊
This year, Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards proudly Trooped their Colour in the presence of His Majesty The King at the main event on Saturday 14 June 2025.
Over 1,350 soldiers from the Household Division and King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery took part, alongside 300+ musicians from the Massed Bands.

Over the last 6 years SPIKA have been proud to support The Household Division with ticket sales for the Trooping the Colour events; this year was the first King’s Birthday Parade and it was an impressive display of pageantry. Over 1400 officers and men were on parade, together with two hundred horses; over four hundred musicians from ten bands and corps of drums march and play as one, it is something truly special to experience.

We also support The Household Division with their Beating Retreat events. This year it was A Miliary Musical Spectacular – “Orb and Sceptre” – this epic production fused live music and modern technology to celebrate British military music wrapped around the traditional Beating Retreat and Sunset ceremony.

Last Friday, we got the team together to celebrate the start of spring; after a day of Developer workshops we partied in style at All Star Lanes in Holborn. Prosecco, wine and beers were flowing! Everyone had their game face on, it was great to get everyone together and catch up. Great spot for bowling and delicious food too. What a fun night and an incredible team.

Thank you to everyone who ordered a cheese slicer or SPIKA branded bottle from our Scandinavian themed SPIKA Christmas campaign or selected to make a charity donation. All the interaction was much appreciated!

Our chosen charity was The Trussell Trust and a donation of £400 has now been made to help support their important work.

Last Friday we got together for an end-of-year company social, it is always fantastic to see everyone chatting, smiling and exchanging ideas and stories. After a meeting where we revealed the Xmas bonus figure and announced our new enhanced family leave benefit, we went for a few (okay, quite a few!) drinks in a local pub.

Our plans to go bowling for our Xmas party were derailed by the train strikes (pun intended😀) but this just gives us an excuse to have another party in the New Year.

We have said it before, but it is true, we really do have the best team!
