It's funny how easy it is to look back at this 1974 recording and chuckle at how "futuristic" it seemed. The massive computers, clunky tech—it’s almost quaint. But let's be honest, back in '74, this was mind-blowing! People were either in awe, nervously wondering if these ideas would ever take off, or quietly skeptical about their real-world usefulness.
Fast forward to 2024, and here we are, living in a world where some of those "acorn ideas" have blossomed into the very tech we rely on today. But it makes me wonder—how will we look in 2074?
Will they sit in their sleek, eco-friendly homes on Mars, chuckling at how we thought AI might take some jobs but definitely not all? Or maybe they’ll peek through their augmented reality glasses at our headlines and think, "Did they really not believe climate change was real?"
Only time will tell. Unless, of course, someone builds a time machine before then—though I'm fairly sure that’s still a few years away… 😉
