We are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team in London and work alongside product development team playing a pivotal role in developing, deploying and supporting award-winning Smart Stadium technology. Role:
As an AWS/Backend Developer, you will oversee the development and deployment process of the backend technology, working closely with the Product Development team delivering robust architecture for internal and external use. Responsibilities:
Create & maintain APIs (AWS API Gateway), OAuth
Build applications on serverless architecture
Innovate & structure ideas, work closely with overall system architecture
Develop robust and intuitive features on top of an existing product
Work collaboratively with other engineers, designers and product managers as well as taking on projects yourself.
Working on the AWS services: (EBS, EC2, CloudFront, IoT, DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, SNS, SES, Lambda, Amplify, Cognito)
You will be expected to work both in team and autonomously, grasp concepts quickly and communicate ideas and questions clearly with the team and project stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate, Skills & Experiences:
- 2+ years of experience
- Extensive hands-on AWS experience
- Javascript/Node.js and Python
- Databases; relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (DynamoDB)
- Ability to architect scalable services
- Other tools: CI, Pytest, Docker, Git, Postman
- Confident with Git version control and code reviews.
- Are receptive to feedback and are always looking to learn and improve.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable in collaborative environments.
- Curiosity and confidence to debate customer value and impact.
- Test-driven development & Continuous integration
