Today, we mark an important transition. After more than a decade of innovation, creativity, and impact, we are closing the Bare Conductive chapter to focus entirely on LAIIER. While this decision carries a sense of nostalgia, itโs one we make with confidence, optimism, and gratitude. The journey of Bare Conductive has been foundational to who we are as a company and where we are headed.

While we are retiring the Bare Conductive brand, we know that many of you still rely on our products for your projects. To ensure continued access, RS Components remains our official distributor and will carry remaining stock while supplies last. You can find Electric Paint, Touch Boards, and other Bare Conductive products available for purchase at RS Components and our reseller partners. We encourage you to stock up while inventory lasts and thank you for your continued support over the years.

Bare Conductive began as a student project at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College in 2009, driven by a shared ambition: to reimagine how electronics could seamlessly integrate with the materials and environments around us. This vision led to the development of our first breakthrough productโElectric Paintโwhich became a catalyst for an entirely new way of thinking about conductive materials and prototyping.
Since selling our first jar of Electric Paint in 2011, we have had the privilege of building a global community of engineers, artists, educators, and designers who took this simple concept and turned it into something extraordinary. From interactive walls to educational kits used in classrooms worldwide, Bare Conductive products have sparked creativity and innovation in ways we could never have predicted.

The global pandemic brought significant challenges to Bare Conductive. Supply chain disruptions, rising costs, and geopolitical shifts forced us to reevaluate our business. But within these obstacles, we found opportunity. By 2020, our work with industrial partners on advanced sensor technologies began to outpace our consumer-focused offerings. This realization set us on a path toward a new purpose: solving complex challenges for industries facing costly and often invisible problems, like liquid leaks.
In 2021, we formally launched LAIIER to address these challenges. LAIIER builds on the deep technical expertise and creativity that defined Bare Conductive. Its focus is precise, scalable, and mission-critical: to prevent leak-driven damage and downtime in buildings and industrial equipment. This shift represents a strategic evolution, enabling us to have a far greater impact on industries and the environment.
