Kicking off 2026 together πŸš€

We kicked off 2026 together at HPE’s London Customer Innovation Centre last week, bringing the techUK team together to align priorities, share ideas and explore the technologies shaping the future.

From robotics and AI innovation to immersive experiences like the Formula E simulator 🏎️, it was a brilliant opportunity to see how emerging technologies are being applied to real-world challenges.

Experiences like these give us first-hand insight into the services our members provide to their customers, helping us better understand their priorities and how we can support them.

Thank you to HPE for hosting the techUK team and for such an inspiring experience.

Department for Science Innovation and Technology turns 1 today! πŸ₯³

Our CEO, Julian David, says:

"Congratulations to the Department of Science, Innovation, and Technology on their remarkable first year. For many of us just the creation of one department covering the whole of science and tech was a fundamental success but they have also delivered many welcome initiatives. DSIT's unwavering commitment to propelling the UK's growth through digital innovation and technologies has been instrumental in securing the country's position in the global tech race.

DSIT has not only been a leader in regulation, successfully passing the Online Safety Act into law, but also in innovation. Recognising the importance of AI and the need for global collaboration, DSIT promptly hosted the world’s first AI Safety Summit and is at the forefront of the UK’s 10-year vision for the future of quantum technologies.

DSIT’s initiatives are paving the way for the UK to emerge as a science and technology superpower by 2030. techUK and our members are excited to continue our partnership with DSIT to realise the positive outcomes of what digital technology can achieve."
