Job description:
The Business development manager will be responsible for leading the company's expansion into online sales platforms, managing marketplace accounts, and driving the development of the company’s e-commerce website. This role requires an innovative individual who can explore various online sales avenues and ensure the company's products reach a broader audience through effective online presence management.
❖ The successful candidate for the position of Business development manager is expected to meet the following formal qualifications and requirements:
❖ Qualifications: Skill, experience and qualifications required
• A minimum of GCSE grades or equivalent is generally required for this role but is possible with other academic qualifications and/or relevant experience. Previous experience in a similar position is highly valued and will be considered advantageous.
❖ The Business Development Manager is responsible for performing the following formal tasks as part of their role:
❖ Oversee the company's e-commerce platform and manage third-party online marketplace accounts such as Amazon, eBay, Gumtree, and Facebook Marketplace.
❖ Lead the creation and operation of the company’s own e-commerce website, ensuring optimal performance, customer experience, and sales conversion.
❖ Identify and develop new e-commerce opportunities, exploring additional avenues for product listing and sales expansion.
❖ Analyze sales and marketplace data to adjust strategies, optimize listings, and improve customer engagement and satisfaction.
❖ Collaborate with supply chain partners to align inventory and fulfillment processes with online sales predictions and customer demand.
❖ Ensure marketplace activities are in compliance with all platform guidelines and regulations to maintain the company’s reputation and operational integrity.
❖ Liaise with customer service to enhance the end-to-end customer experience online, facilitating excellent service and support.
❖ Report on e-commerce performance metrics, providing actionable insights to the management team for informed decision-making.
❖ Stay updated on the latest e-commerce trends, tools, and best practices, implementing progressive techniques to drive sales and business growth
