Even though it seems like it was decades ago, it was only a couple of weeks ago that both Instagram and Facebook were down. Whilst the servers were down, it gave room for a lot of people to ponder and think about the meaning of life without any of these platforms. Are Instagramable lattes even pretty without Instagram?😂 😂 No, we’re kidding, but it did give time for people to consider the addictive qualities that social media has. Particularly, in the way, it shapes human behaviour offline as well as online. ⠀

When it comes to business though, social media is an integral part of marketing and without it, the possibilities for success would be limited. Especially for small businesses - amirite?😓⠀

We’ve been working with Halma for a little while now. The Water Life campaign, a project you might have seen around, is a collaboration between Halma and WaterAid.💧

The Water Life campaign aims at shining a light on tackling the global issue of water quality and accessibility. “One in ten people worldwide do not have access to clean water close to home. Lack of access to clean water and decent sanitation causes diseases, which claim the lives of 800 under-fives every single day.”

Not only was this an incredibly thrilling and fruitful project to work on, it was also amazing to learn more about the beautiful heritage throughout the UK and overseas territories. Improving our skills whilst improving our pub quiz knowledge...what’s not to love?⠀

Forty8Creates worked with Ovitizia to develop a brand identity as well as a functional eCommerce website. The challenge? Appealing to the dual nature of the business that serves both landlords/house owners as well as tenants, tourists and renters. 🏘️🏠⠀

Lokoom is a London property-management company that's all about co-living. ⠀

Lokoom wants to eradicate the image of overcrowded multiple occupancies traditionally associated with London and other major cities. ⠀
⠀
Lokoom’s brand principle offers renters a living experience dictated by themselves and themselves only. ⠀
⠀
We’ve worked with Lokoom on the creation of identity design for the brand.⠀
⠀
Lokoom’s logo was created using the idea of connectedness and transmits a sense of togetherness, hence the use of a rounded sans serif typeface and interconnected ‘oo”. ⠀

The colour palette was chosen to evoke a sense of serenity, calmness and modernity, all synonyms of living according to Lokoom’s motto.⠀

After purchasing a beach 🏖️🏖️ (yup you read that right), Sophie reached out to Forty8Creates to help with the reimagining of the company’s visual identity. Being in a row of publicly accessible beaches, Bayside needed to stand out with a modern approach, starting with their logo. Gone were the typical blues and yellows expected of this business, our colour palette is bold and vibrant and paired with a custom typeface.⠀
