OpenAthens Single sign-on made simple

OpenAthens makes it easy for people to access the knowledge they want, when they want it. That’s exciting stuff. What does that mean?

You never know what they might end up going on to achieve. We believe in removing barriers to knowledge. We do this by helping libraries and publishers save time and effort with a single sign-on solution. Well, it means people can quickly and easily find the information they’re looking for. In turn this leads to more time, smarter ways of working and unlocks the potential to achieve great things!

Through us, providers can protect their information and allow secure access for their users, and libraries can be sure that their researchers can access the information they need seamlessly and securely. Over 2,600 organizations use our software, equating to a worldwide network of millions of end-users. We strive to improve the end-user experience of students, patrons and employees. Since 1995, we have been working to improve the process of accessing information for everyone involved. Follow us for news and updates on the work we do!

Last week we got to enjoy our team away day in a bit of (rare) British sunshine ☀️!

It was a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone together, reconnect, and plan for the year ahead.

We also had some brilliant team building activities! From getting creative and making some fab pottery creations to an epic race across Bristol tackling riddles and clues along the way.

A big thankyou to our organisers. We hope everyone that attended enjoyed it!

A UK public sector library had rich resources through OpenAthens, but most staff weren’t discovering them. By prioritizing outreach: roadshows, events and targeted newsletters - they made the library impossible to ignore.
