Issy Hayes is building her own path chasing her Olympic dream.
It started at the age of ten, when Issy competed in her first triathlon. From there she never stopped - and the journey itself has been a true test of endurance.
She spent years training and competing in both swimming and athletics, completed her sixth form with a sports scholarship and eventually made her way to Loughborough University, training among Olympians and World Champions in the triathlon performance squad - one of the most competitive in the world.
In 2024, in her very first year racing as a senior athlete, Issy won the British Triathlon Super Series Championship. Her season began with a fifth at Mallory Heats before she won Mallory Sprint outright, then backed it up with back-to-back second place finishes at the Eton Eliminator and the Grand Final to seal the title.
She was 20. Exactly ten years after lining up at her first race, she stood on top of British Triathlon.
Proved again - every step counts.
She then stepped up to the European stage in 2025, raced against the continent’s best U23 athletes at the Europe Championships in Melilla, Spain, and finished 12th. Her world was getting bigger with her every race.
Now training over 24 hours a week with a series of European Cup triathlon races on the horizon, LA 2028 is firmly in her sights.
Issy is exactly the kind of athlete Ampact is built for. Someone who swims, bikes, and runs in all conditions. Someone who chases her dreams non-stop.
We’re so proud to welcome Issy to the Ampact family and support her journey towards the LA ’28 world stage! 💙
