Does anyone else hate this?
If you are one of the people doing this you need to rethink your lead generation strategy!
Connecting through the LinkedIn Message platform is awesome, don't get me wrong. I've made plenty of relationships and sales as a result of using it.
But sending some irrelevant automated messages to everyone with no personalisation whatsoever is really just a form of spamming.
By doing this all you do is get people's backs up and make yourself look desperate.
The best one has to be when someone spams me asking if I want help with lead gen!
If you want to approach people and make more sales, start by sending something personal and relevant to them, get a conversation going, build a relationship! Then once you know if you can help them, that's the time to consider a pitch.
