JUST LISTED | Allison Labs 2AR Passive EQ Filter

https://shop.funky-junk.com/shop/recording/outboard/effects/allison-labs-model-2ar-passive-eq-filter-vintage/?lang

When it comes to mechanical over-engineering and design, the Allison Labs Model 2AR has to be one of the finest examples we’ve ever seen.

The 2AR – and its related 2ABR, 2BR, and 2DR iterations – is a rare vintage passive variable high-pass/low-pass filter and equalizer dating from the 1950s. Essentially a massive variable inductor-and-capacitor filter, it uses front-panel controls to adjust the air gap in the inductor coil, unlocking an incredibly wide range of filtering possibilities.

It sounds beautiful. With transformer-balanced inputs and outputs, it behaves as a very smooth, flat, soft-slope filter. When not terminated into 600ohm, however, it transforms into an amazing resonant filter that works wonders on synths and can add something truly special to a mix.

Available now with FREE UK deliver and worldwide shipping (not free 😬). Includes new XLR and 3 months warranty ✅
